How it’s made
Articles are researched and drafted with frontier AI models using live web research, then published through an editorial system designed and directed by Rosario Fortugno. The same standard applies throughout: real sources, real numbers, no invented facts.
About the editor
Rosario Fortugno is an electrical engineer, MBA, and PMP who has spent 15+ years leading technology programs across financial services, energy, mining, healthcare, and aviation — and the last decade building AI companies of his own.
Most recently he led generative AI programs at ATB Financial, a $55.6B institution serving 800,000+ clients, where he owned the bank’s GenAI portfolio across two charters and a $2.6M+ budget and brokered its agentic AI platform decision through a structured review of Salesforce Agentforce, Google Agentspace, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and NETOMI — a recommendation that set the bank’s multi-year direction. Earlier he served as acting program manager on Suncor’s $110M Connected Worker program, earning the 2019 Leadership Excellence Award after cutting safety-incident response time 25% and delivering $4M in annual downtime savings, and led WestJet’s consolidation of four CRMs into Salesforce Service Cloud for 5,000 staff with zero downtime through peak holiday travel.
He founded InOrbis Corporation in 2015, an all-electric intercity mobility venture, raising $1.2M and building a 20-person distributed team across three time zones; its engagement with the British Columbia provincial government delivered a citizen-facing AI service that still handles 10,000+ inquiries a month. Today he runs RepairStack, an AI operating platform he built for a Calgary electrical services business and is commercializing as SaaS — it runs accounts payable across 47 vendor relationships and $2.5M in annual spend, and multi-vendor procurement across 20,400+ SKUs.
He is the author of Generative AI in Project Management (2024), a keynote speaker at the ATB FinTech Forum, and a panelist and mentor with PMI Southern Alberta, IEEE, and the Scrum Alliance. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Calgary and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, and studied AI for Business Strategy at MIT Sloan.
